Maureen Denise McCormick was born on 5 August 1956 at Woodland Hills California the youngest and only daughter of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. Her father worked as a teacher while her mother was a stay at home mom. Michael Dennis Kevin is her three elder siblings. McCormick is always a fan of dancing, singing and putting on show puppets. When she won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 an old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see if McCormick wanted to get into the world of entertainment. McCormick got her first job as a leading actress in 1964. She starred in a commercial for Mattels the newest doll baby Pattaburp. McCormick also starred in a commercial in the year 1964 for Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was chosen to play the lead role in The Wind It up and It breaks, a production in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was chosen from among 1,200 kids who auditioned for the chance for the role of the oldest of three towheaded girls on the brand new TV show The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson as well as Robert Reed as newlyweds with an unintended family. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick's autobiography Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was published in 2008. She revealed in it the fact that McCormick nearly lost her virginity on set of the series during its fifth season to Barry Williams. The actress was only 16 at the time; he was 19. The incident would have happened according to her. However, the timing for our relationship was not right.
